Behind the success
is a great product
Haloila’s European top experts tell about their work and
the current situation and future outlook of their own areas
of responsibility. Even though the conditions vary, there is
one common denominator: satisfaction with the reliable
and functional product range and the comprehensive
service offered by Haloila.
GERMANY AND POLAND
Who?
Hartmut Köster,
After Sales Manager,
Germany and Poland
What is it like to work at Haloila?
Haloila is an individual, innovative
and well-organised company. A good
example of this is the extremely accurate
documentation for the last 15 years,
which is available online. In addition to
customers, it helps us employees in our
everyday work.
How long has Haloila operated in
Germany?
The first machine arrived in Germany in
1984,
a year after the launch of Octopus.
Thus, we have been operating in Germany
for almost 30 years.
How does Haloila stand out from its
competitors?
The modular system is a special feature,
making it possible to upgrade and
combine machines from different
decades.
How does Octopus stand out from
other packaging systems?
The basics of the machine have remained
the same for 30 years, but control and
standardised parts have been renewed
and updated over time. To my mind, the
special thing is that R&D has focused
on enhancing the entire system, not
just on developing a new mechanism.
Octopus is like a volkswagen Golf of
packaging machines, an extremely good
basic product that has continuously
been modified skilfully so as to retain the
achieved leading market position.
What is your primary challenge?
Our biggest challenge is to retain our
position as the market leader in Europe.
This requires new and innovative ideas,
such as TWIn from 2005.
What are your most important
future objectives?
In the future, our most important objective
will be to lay a foundation for Haloila and
Octopus becoming the most important
manufacturer of packaging machines
worldwide.
