FRANCE
Who?
Bruno Crinel,
Technical Sales support I work as a link between
the sales team in France, Spain and Benelux and the Haloila
plant. I prepare tenders and materials and arrange meetings.
How long has Haloila operated in the areas you represent?
Haloila has operated in different ways in France for roughly thirty
years.
What kinds of changes have taken place during this time?
Major development steps have been taken in the technology of
the machines, and the sales process has also developed quite a
lot over these years.
How does Haloila stand out from its competitors?
Haloila operates in a clear and controlled way, and there is no
soloing. The clear pricing policy and standardised products
are a good competitive advantage. We never promise special
applications unless we are certain that they will work and have
been fully tested in advance.
We comply with clear internal operating policies and therefore
respect and comply with the agreed delivery times, except for
urgent and unexpected events.
How does Octopus stand out from other
packaging systems?
The Octopus concept offers the customer full end-to-end
service: sales, delivery, technical support and maintenance.
We also have enormous experience in all service phases.
What is it like to work at Haloila? I appreciate being able to work
for a company that works and is innovative and thereby also
successful.
What is your primary challenge?
Our challenge is to justify to customers why they should choose
us instead of Italian alternatives that cost 20–30% less.
What are your most important future objectives?
We must be able to respond to the changing strategies of
logistics centres and warehouses. Many of them are still using
semi-automatic packaging machines, but they are gradually
beginning to replace them with a few automatic machines with
high packaging capacities.
UNITED KINGDOM
Who?
Simon Hale-Wood,
Customer Service Manager, United Kingdom
How long has Haloila operated in United Kingdom?
Our services have been available in the United Kingdom for as
long as Octopus has existed, over 30 years.
What kinds of changes have taken place during this time?
Many things have changed, such as the company’s name and the
fact that we have merged with ITW. Colleagues have changed,
and of course Octopus has undergone continuous development
and improvement.
How does Haloila stand out from its competitors?
The customer can be certain that when the machines leave the
plant, they are fully tested and operate reliably in the customer’s
use. not all companies can guarantee such quality.
How does Octopus stand out from other packaging systems?
Our competitive advantage is about offering machines, service
and spare parts under a single roof. In addition, the customer
even gets comprehensive technical support.
What is it like to work at Haloila?
I like my job: nice people and a great product!
What is your primary challenge?
Our challenge is about ensuring that we will continue to meet
customer needs and our high quality requirements in the future as
well. This requires hard work by dedicated people.
What are your most important future objectives?
The future looks bright, thanks to our new machine portfolio. The
expansion of operations into the United States and China is also
promising.
